Portraits of random bus passengers

How many times, while on public transport, have you captured yourself gazing at the passenger sitting opposite you, contemplating over grabbing your smartphone and snap a picture of him/her? To me, it happened several times.
Talented photographer Nick Turpin, has made a collection of different portraits of anonymous people during their transit from work to home, and captured successfully so many emotions.

Turpin was not the first to photograph random passengers on public Transport. Walker Evans made an extraordinary work back in 1938. His collection is hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

  1. I like how they look kind of dreamy through the fogged up windows.
